MEETING YOURSELF WHERE YOU ARE AT.
‘The body remembers, the bones remember, the joints remember, even the little finger remembers. Memory is lodged in pictures and feelings in the cells themselves. Like a sponge filled with water, anywhere the flesh is pressed, wrung, even touched lightly, a memory may flow out in a stream.’ Clarissa Pinkola Estes
Our body holds answers, wisdom, our body speaks to us in subtle whispers or bold roars and my body has been speaking to me this year with loud roars.
I don’t know specifically what she is asking for yet but I am meeting her where she is at.
And I met her today with a beautiful yoga flow that felt like a sacred dance. A dance of me fully listening to my body, of meeting her where she is at. No forcing, no pushing, no expectations, no you should be able to do this, you need to do more - just simply moving and listening.
Listening to the softness, the vulnerability, the architecture of this physical form.
No answers or trying to fix - just a simple witnessing, listening and receiving.
And some times that’s all that’s required for our loved ones, our partners, ourselves, our friends, our body. Not fixing it, not thinking we know all the answers - just simply listening and seeing with a soft heart.
