WOMEN OF THE WELL.

During a breath work session with my mentor I went into a lucid state and traveled to foreign lands, to where I know my soul once called home…

I began with rich mossy soil beneath my feet - rooted and anchored into the earth
Rose at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland - with tears streaming down my face
Drifted across the sea in a nest of timber, mermaids and salt - surrendering to the rhythm of the water
And sank into a sacred well - with women surrounding it’s cobbled stone opening

Fully submerged in the darkness, in the milky waters - it’s soft gentle lapping against my body as the beam of light from above revealed the faces of my sisters, the faces of the women of the well.

The voices of the well.

‘If we want to become Voices of the Wells, we need to plumb their depths. And in order to kick-start the process of transformation to which we’ve now committed ourselves, we have to destroy old ways of thinking, remove old limits. So grope your way blindly into the darkest cave, let yourself sink to the bottom of the deepest lake. Jump into the black, bottomless well. It is this Descent, in which we go down and face the dark goddess in the Otherworld, which destroys outmoded forms of being and prepares us to develop the wisdom we need to give birth to our most authentic self - the self that knows its place in the world, that has its feet firmly planted in the rich loam of the Earth. The self that can begin finally to act from that place of solid, grounded rootedness.’
Sharon Blackie

The voices of the well, the gateways to the otherworld, the well spring of life, the nectar of the soul.
The reclamation and remembering of the feminine, the sacred waters of the womb that give life to all.

An invitation, an opportunity to plunge into her depths and rise rooted and anchored from her fertile soil.
