YOUR VOICE MATTERS.
Your voice matters.
Your stories matter.
Your truth matters.
I hear from the women that want to share their truth, that feel that niggle in their womb to step fully into their purpose, their power….all the time that they don’t claim their space because who would want to hear their story? Why would anyone listen to them? Who are they to stand on the soap box? Everyone has heard the same story a million times - how is their’s any different?
Your story is different, your truth is different, your voice is different…..because nobody has experienced your experiences through your lens. Through your perspective. And your stories are meant to be heard, they need to be heard and when you stand in your truth & speak it - it will be heard by the right people. The ones that are waiting to hear your perspective, your voice.
Your truth.
Because they need it.
When I was contemplating quitting drinking - I contemplated quitting drinking for more than five years before I finally took the leap - it was hearing other women’s stories of sobriety that finally gave me permission to jump. At that time in my life I was terrified to stand out, to be different, to draw attention to myself - if I was the only sober one I wouldn’t belong - I wouldn’t fit in. I would be different. Hearing other women’s stories of sobriety & knowing that they were thriving, happy & fulfilled - that they still belonged gave me the courage to make the decision.
To spread my wings.
A story by @soberissexy stands out the most and I am forever grateful that she shared her story & that it came to me at the perfect time. The impact was huge. I needed it.
Your stories create an impact, your voice creates an impact….
And I get why you’re terrified to use it.
I used to be terrified as well to use my voice until I did the inner work to reclaim my voice & my truth. To reclaim my worth. To take up space. The patriarchy has conditioned women to be quiet, to sit down, to blend in. There were repercussions if you didn’t. And now you are breaking generations of conditioning when you stand up & claim your space. When you speak your truth & stand in your worth. It’s not easy but it’s what is necessary at this time & it’s what is necessary for you to stand in the multi-faceted, sovereign Goddess that you are. The one that commands attention simply by being who she is.
The one that is worthy exactly as she is.
It’s not that your voice doesn’t need to be heard, it does - it’s that your worth wants to be reclaimed.
Stand up and claim it.
